Two Teens Murdered Over Tandoori Roti at Wedding
Break10 Web Desk: In a shocking incident on 3 May, a wedding celebration in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh UP), turned fatal when a dispute over tandoori roti led to the deaths of two teenager. The boys, namely Ravi Kumar also known as Kallu (18) and Ashish (17), were cousins.
The altercation began around 11:45pm at the tandoori roti counter during of a wedding. Ashish and Ravi reportedly engaged in a verbal spat with the groom’s cousin named Rohit and his friends over who would be served first. A heated argument ensued.
After leaving the venue, Ashish and Ravi were followed by the group, who were armed with iron rods, hockey sticks, and lathis. Around 1:00am the attackers intercepted the boys near Pathak Ka Purwa. Ashish and Ravi were brutally assaulted leaving them critically injured.

Passersby discovered the injured teens and rushed them to the Amethi district hospital. They were referred to the Rae Bareli All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and subsequently to King George’s Medical University in Lucknow. Ashish succumbed to his injuries en route and Ravi was declared dead upon arrival.
A first information report (FIR) has been filed against 13 individuals, including eight named and five unidentified suspects, under charges of murder and rioting. Three of the named accused have been detained and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects.
