Man Bites off Wife’s Nose, Swallows
Break10 Web Desk: In a shocking incident in West Bengal’s Nadia district, a man allegedly bit off and swallowed his wife’s nose, claiming that she was too attractive. The attack occurred around 2am on 2 May in Bairpara village under at Shantipur.
The victim, Madhu Khatun, recounted that her husband Bapan Sheikh had previously threatened to disfigure her. On the night of the incident, neighbours were awakened by Khatun’s screams and found her bleeding profusely from the nose. She later filed a complaint at the Shantipur Police Station, accompanied by her mother.

The case sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many expressing disbelief and condemning the act. Authorities are investigating the matter. Sheikh told the Police that his wife’s nose attracted attention from other men. He is expected to face charges for voluntarily causing grievous hurt.
