De-escalation Choice is With Islamabad, Says Vikram Misri
Break10 Web Desk: The onus of de-escalation of the heightened tension between India and Pakistan is with Islamabad, said Indian foreign secretary Vikram Misri, at a media briefing in New Delhi today. “Pakistan escalated the situation with the Pahalgam terror attack, and India only responded to it through Operation Sindoor,” Misri added.
The 22 April Pahalgam attack resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, predominantly Hindu tourists. The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the killings.
