‘Jaat’ Sparks Controversy, FIR Against Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda
Break10 Web Desk: The recently released action film Jaat, starring Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda, has become the centre of a controversy in Punjab. A first information report (FIR) has been filed against the lead actors and the filmmakers for allegedly hurting religious sentiments due to a scene set inside a church.

Following the backlash, the filmmakers issued an apology and removed the controversial church scene from the film. Deol addressed the concerns, stating, “We are not talking about religion. We are artists, we belong to the country. We love everyone and everyone loves us. We are all part of one country.”
Despite the controversy, Jaat has garnered attention for its high-octane action sequences and the intense showdown between Deol and Hooda. The film’s teaser, released in December 2024, showcased Deol’s character wielding a massive fan as a weapon, hinting at the film’s action-packed narrative.
As the situation unfolds, the impact of the controversy on the film’s box office performance remains to be seen.
